Our clients come to us with their toughest problems from diverse industries that have included Medical, Industrial, Architectural and Engineering (A&E), Academic, Telecommunications, Renewable Energy, Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, and Government.

Comfortable and confident contributing from concept to commissioning, we provide exceptional quality and value through utilization of lean methodologies and the support of our extensive resource network.

How We’re Unique

TCB Engineers effectively collaborates with our clients to create world-class products and systems that help them realize their vision. We work closely with our clients and strive to empower members of their organizations to use and maintain the systems we produce.

We are 'open source' in everything we do. By communicating clearly with stakeholders and providing thorough documentation, clients have the tools necessary for autonomy, thereby maximizing return on investment (ROI). In this way, we provide a cost-efficient structure and maintain a high quality service offering.

When needed, we can scale our offering according to project needs by leveraging an established network of suppliers, contractors, and subject matter experts (SMEs). These partners have been carefully selected based on capability, agility and commitment to the fundamental principles of Total Quality Management (TQM). With most Engineering, Technical Services, and Project Management disciplines represented, we can quickly rally the needed skills.

What do our customers say?

  • Tom was contracted to provide guidance for developing RF test fixtures, PCBs, materials selection and to write software using LabVIEW. He was a strong partner, being open and forthright in discussions, educating us on the reasons for suggested implementation and materials, using his past experiences and expertise to help drive us to a successful conclusion on the project. His expertise in the LabVIEW allowed him to deliver both Test and Analysis software packages on time, and he followed through with minor updates during validation. The MSA study at the end of the project showed a reliable system was developed with a high degree of repeatability.

    Sr. Technical Project Engineer
  • Tom and I have worked together for over 4 years on several projects in the defense and aerospace industries including modifications and enhancements of existing Automated Test Equipment (ATE), concept to completion ATE design and test, and various configuration software applications. Tom is relentless in his pursuit of quality and excellence in all of his work related endeavors. His broad and in depth knowledge of software and hardware design and test is top-tier. I was extremely impressed with the latest ATE project we have concluded after several years; it is unquestionably superior and professional.

Tom is a true professional and I would strongly recommend his work for any hardware or software development and/or test assignment. He is highly accomplished and capable of taking on large projects independently. Looking forward to working with him again!

    Wayne Santoro
Software / ATE Manager at Ultra Electronics - Herley
  • Tom is a well rounded engineer with a diverse background. He is extremely knowledgeable in RF, digital, system architecture and software engineering. Tom has filled in the areas of our small company that is invaluable. He is amazingly efficient in completion of tasks.

Of all the engineers I've worked with in my career, Tom definitely is the top 5. If I owned a company, Tom would be one of the first individuals I would hire or bring in as a consultant. I strongly recommend him!

    Maikel Wise
Sr. Electrical Engineer at Gogo Business Aviation
  • We hired Thomas to partner with us to architect and create a manufacturing test flow for a line of flow metering electronics. At every step Thomas made sure he had all the requirements, managed everything with precision and has delivered the kind of spot-on systems and documentation you dream about. Both technically and personally you'll not find anyone better to partner with when you need to get things done right the first time.

    Gregg Pulley
    Sensor Technologist
  • I have worked with Thomas W. Miller, PE for more than five years in the area of laser sensor development for air quality measurements (trace gases). I was immediately impressed that he conducted himself professionally and was easy to engage with, transparent in discussions, and met all planned deadlines.

My research group continues to work with him on sensor development, including development of UAV payloads and mobile IOT-enabled systems. Specific tasks that he is leading include development of custom embedded data acquisition systems based on the Xilinx Zynq-7000 / sbRIO-9651, power sub-systems, instrument control, signal analysis, and electronics packaging with an emphasis on size, weight and power (SWAP).

Mr. Miller has consistently demonstrated independence, integrity, broad as well as deep engineering skill, and a holistic systems approach. I give him my highest possible recommendation.

Technology we have our eyes on

We aren't resting on our laurels! TCB Engineers focuses on opportunities at the intersections of academia, entrepreneurial and Government to identify where our capabilities have the potential for maximal societal impact. Here’s some of the technologies we’re engaging with.

What opportunities do advnacements in Quantum Encryption, Communications & Sensing afford? How will we apply them to the betterment of society?

Software Defined Radio

How will advancements in microwave optoelectronic oscillators (MOO) and photonics integrated circuits (PIC) facilitate a paradigm shift in performance?

E-Waste Recycling

The green energy revolution is upon us. How will we secure the needed rare earth materials without repeating environmental mistakes of the past?

H2 & Carbon to Fuel

In an all-of-the-above strategy, how will Hydrogen (H2) and Carbon to Fuel (CTF) economies fit in? What opportunities will arise as we transition?

How can we assist?
